Hope Madden is an award-winning writer, filmmaker, film critic, podcaster and journalist busy drinking diet Pepsi and watching horror movies with her husband and co-conspirator George Wolf in Columbus, OH.
She made her first short film, the award-winning Godspeed, in 2020, followed in quick succession by two additional shorts (Obstacle Corpse and A Seat at the Table) before undertaking her first feature, Obstacle Corpse, streaming now on Prime and Tubi.
Her 2023 short film, Basement Buddy, was created for a women-directed horror program called Femme Fatalities, which ran throughout Spring of 2024 at Gateway Film Center, on Ohio State University campus. She wrote and produced the short al fresco, directed by George Wolf, which is currently touring festivals. Her short Fansplaining is in post production and Villain Diaries is in production.
Hope's reviews are carried by online, radio and TV outlets in the US and Europe. Her first novel, Roost, published from Off Limits Press in March of 2022. Her second novel, Killer Pictures, will be published in 2025 from World Castle Publishing. You can also find her short stories in anthologies by Speculation Publication and Wicked Shadow Press.

She has short stories in two 2024 anthologies from Wicked Shadow Press: "Clown Wanted" in Flash of the Dead: Halloween 2024, and "Customer Service" in Petting Boo.
She also contributed the short story "Aggrieved" to the 2022 anthology Incubate from Speculation Publications and "Meat" to the 2023 Wicked Shadow Press anthology Flash of the Dead: Requiem.
Hope's first feature, Obstacle Corpse, is streaming now on Prime, Tubi, Vudu, and Plex.

She and her husband George Wolf review films every Friday morning on the Columbus, Ohio TV news magazine show Good Day Columbus.
Hope and George Wolf —MaddWolf of maddwolf.com — co-host two podcasts. The Screening Room drops every Friday and runs through all the movie releases of the week. Twice monthly they host the Fright Club podcast, which takes a deep dive into horror. Fright Club Live is also recorded once a month with a live audience at Gateway Film Center on the Ohio State University Campus.
